Old New Year’s Ghost

Earlier this week I had chance to break out some of the ghost pics I’ve taken to bring to my class on the unexplained. I hadn’t looked though them in awhile. Hopefully I’ll be set to take more soon again, especially as the weather starts warming up in the spring. That makes it much more enjoyable to be outside for such entertainment.

Here is one of my favorite photos that I took on New Year’s Eve a couple years ago. There is not much story behind it. That night my friend in Australia and I were on the phone together so we could celebrate the event in both time zones. Somewhere during the course of the night I heard my guide tell me to go out the front door and take a picture. So I just did. It was freezing and I held my breath the entire time to avoid vapor getting in the shot. Certainly I wasn’t anticipating getting photo of anything in particular…maybe an orb or two at most. Quickly I took 4 shots in sequence and rushed back inside where it was warm. The first three were so dark nothing could really be seen, and then there was this one:

Old New Year’s Ghost

Surprised by the very close up figure reaching their hand out straight toward me, I completely forgot to find out who it even was. “Old New Year’s Ghost” is a fitting term of endearment, right?
