A Story of Kindred Mates

A strange thing happened in my class last night, as strange things usually do. But this wasn’t anything to write about in the way of being funny or witty or outrageous. (Even though most of my stories about my classes would probably fall somewhere into those areas). This time it was just one of those unusual happenings that occur only so often in this crazy world. One that if you’re paying attention, is nothing short of inspiring. Sappy, but true

Practicing Tarot

The night was like this: I had the four in the group split into pairs to practice learning how to do proper tarot readings for each other. Normally I would divide them so that they have their own tables to work on, but for some reason I was compelled to let them fight over the one small table in the center of the room – and this is something I’d never do – have two tarot spreads on the same table being read at the same time – it didn’t seem right, though somehow important. Who am I to argue with the powers that be?

As it turned out two spreads that ended up on the table at the same time were for the married couple in the group. Not by any planning mind you; it’s just the way it happened to work out. Each person was given a choice of three different spreads to try. The person asking the question had to tell the partner which one they wanted to use (as it might best suit the question at hand). He had chosen the one with six cards. His wife had chosen the one with seven. Their partners were just going about their business working on interpreting the cards as I sat between the two groups assisting them.

Perfect Match

As it played out, five of their cards were matching. To be clear, that is 10 of the 13 on the table. You’ve got two different people using two different decks of 78 cards each- you tell me the odds of that happening? It was pretty clear to me suddenly the reason for needing to use the small table. They hadn’t been allowed to reveal the question they were asking until the end of the readings. I had asked them if they were asking the same question. It turned out they essentially were. But, as it pertained to their own careers; nothing to do with the other person.

Everyone was a little spooked that that could happen. I just thought it was fantastic, because all I saw in that one strange occurrence was a perfection and alignment between two people. Two, so meant to be together in this lifetime that the information that came up by those matching cards showed exactly how in sync they both are. An example of how their character matches so perfectly. In only the way that could possibly happen with someone who is your true kindred mate…your spiritual equal. It’s a blessing just to be in the presence of it. I would wish for everyone the chance to find and experience that same kind of magic in this lifetime, too.
