A Dream Visit Q & A

Here’s a short Q & A from an email I received the other day.

Q: Last night I had a dream with [my mom] in it and it was so real! Does this have any meaning?

A:

That’s amazing about your DREAM VISIT! 
While of course we have dreams for a bunch of different reasons, with people who show up as characters (not actually them) to bring our attention to things we’re wishing for or trying to resolve during our waking life, dream visits really do happen – although it is a great exception that is being made for us to have such an experience.

When you wake up from a visit, there is that moment of reconnecting with time/space here. It can be very upsetting for some people waking up and realizing that their loved one is gone all over again. So the visits are often a one-time happening, at a point in time when we really most need to know they are with us. That is by their awareness in watching over us, not our own choosing. So when they do make a visit – AND we get to remember it – it is something terribly special. 

I do think there are many instances where we wake up

and can’t remember a single dream, and we were often just speaking to them, but are not allowed to remember the conversation. (What was said could influence our free will in waking life, which is not allowed). And, I think that’s just the main point of her timing now. While all this [COVID-19] trauma is going on that we are living through, and you’ve already lost someone so important to you, she does not want you worrying about yourself or others. She needed to let you know that no matter what happens, life is eternal. And that she is most certainly with you, watching over, looking out, and aware of everything you and your family are going through. More importantly, you are not ever alone.

This happening really does speak to your bond and how much love there is between you. Many people never get a dream visit, no matter how much they wish for one. So, just know that this was really really special. If you remember it still just as clearly, you might even want to journal about it and the details. Keep it for some day that you need a reminder how much you’re loved. =)
