Encounter with a Spirit

I was reminded today of an encounter that I had with a ghost here a couple years ago. Ghost being the operative word –he had not quite “crossed over.” The details of what we discussed are a little fuzzy now, but the events of what happened still make me think ‘wow.’ I’d been sitting on my sofa relaxing after work one night, watching some TV program, when I suddenly became VERY aware that someone was standing straight at the end of the sofa, near the wall, just looking at me.

The presence was so strong, it was as if a “whole” person had just let himself into my home. Curious as to why he was standing there, I grabbed my camera off the end table, asked him if he minded me taking a picture and then I snapped a photo, which i wasn’t sure would produce anything. Maybe an orb at best; that’s typical. We ended up in a brief conversation, which if I recall correctly ended with him “finding his way” to the other side. I went to download the picture and sure enough, there he was. Ronnie, he’d told me is his name. It was a fun experience, and I’d left it at that.

The Unexpected Message

A few weeks passed, it was nearing Christmas (you can see all my holiday decoration boxes in the photo that I’d taken out of storage). In my email I had a message saying that I’d received an e-card. It didn’t indicate who’d sent it, so I pulled it up curious as to where it came from. The odd thing I noticed first was that there was no return email address…which I later tried submitting one on my own without entering that data and had it rejected for not having filled in the information. The e-card was a plain Christmas-type background. No funky music. No animation. I didn’t know anyone by the name that was in the message and it took me a few minutes before it occurred to me who’d sent it. The message simply read: “Thank you for remembering me, Ronnie.”
