PINK: Wonderful Color Symbolism in Signs, Dreams, Meditations

During meditation as well as in our dreams we encounter messages which are often symbolic. This happens also when we witness signs and synchronicities in our daily life. This symbolism carries richer clues, details and sometimes complete messages. Paying attention and learning the language of signs and symbolism is one of the best ways to connect with our higher awareness. It is also one of the best ways that the Universe, our spirit guides, our higher self, or passed loved ones communicate with us.

Details of the scenes or objects in these instances bring added significance and layers of meaning. If we notice the state of the water (choppy vs. still) or the shape of a falling leaf, or species of a bird, we get more accurate insights as to their real symbolic meaning. Color, too, plays a great role in emphasizing the full meaning behind a symbol you are meant to notice. To wrap up this series of articles on the symbolism of colors, here we look at symbolism of the color pink.

The Color Pink

As to this point we have covered all the colors of the rainbow, we must not forget what is the favorite color of so many, pink! What do you first think of when pink comes to mind?  Blowing bubblegum bubbles as a child? Your favorite stuffed teddy bear? Personal correlations always provide great insights, so be sure to consider them first, not only the traditional or generic interpretations.

The symbolism of the color pink depends largely on the shade of the color.  As with all things, there are a number of choices as to what a specific representation is, however, if you look at a list of possibilities, generally one word or phrase will quickly stand out to you.  Here is a list of keywords for you to browse when translating your own pink symbolism:

Dusty Pink, Mauve: (too brown): immaturity, foolishness, doubtfulness

This comes with a caution to be selective and conscientious about using or wearing pinks that are notably muddied by brown color as it may take the vibrant pure energy of the pink itself and obscure it. In each instance, consider how it feels to you and go from there. It will not be the same sense in each variation or even moment. Overly brown pinks may apply to certain taupes, terracottas, dusty pinks, or mauves. It all depends on how the pigments or dyes were blended. Some feeling muted, dulled energetically or made quite negative, based on the moment it is experienced and how it is perceived personally within that context. Apart from those instances, other pink things represent a range of positive energy and certainly optimistic messages. Please feel free to share your experiences with PINK symbols in the comments.
