Keria Dream

Last night in a dream I was having some long talk with this guy. A genuine dream visit. I don’t remember how the whole beginning of the dream went, but either I knew this person already or we had met at that time had an instant connection. It seems we were hanging out together for hours just talking, having a great time. Probably it would clear up a lot of things, if I did remember the whole story, because I remember feeling like it was important when I woke up.

In any case, at the end of the conversation with him he told me he couldn’t stay any longer because he had to get back to Keria, which in dreamstate I took as matter-of-fact. I knew it was in the east and how to spell the name. (Yet, when awake later, I was wondering where the heck that is, and if I’d been given the name of some non-existent place).

Again, not clear on the details, but I believe he is not originally from this Keria place, but rather was sent there to work. Sort of like peace corps or a contracted job. He said he didn’t suppose I would want to pick up everything and go with him. This seemed tempting, but with too many obligations here, would have been impossible. So sadly we parted, and then I woke up awhile after that.

following up

As soon as I could see straight, and before getting my morning coffee (So obviously, it is important if I skip that step). I hopped online to Google Keria. After scrolling through a page of odd listings, mainly for Keria Tea and a woman named Betty, I got to page two and found place-related links. Turns out it is an actual place. Keria, Central Province, Papua New Guinea.

I’m not sure about the significance of the dream (I’m far better at interpreting dreams of other people, being removed and impartial). But I still think it’s so cool when things like that happen.
